School visits to Bursledon Brickworks

Have you thought about bringing your class to visit? Others have and keep coming back so we must be doing something right!

We run all kinds of activities for schools which can be either a half day or full depending on your requirements. You can either visit the Brickworks on your own or combine a visit with one of our regular partners: Swanwick Nature Reserve - where the clay came from that made our bricks - and Bursledon Windmill.

Working with the Windmill we can put together an exciting history day covering Victoriann working life.

All Brickworks visits include a tour of the site plus a choice of hands-on, fun learning activities to fit into the time spent on the site (generally two activities for a half day and four activities for a full day). Each activity is designed to last approximately 40 minutes and tailored to suit all ages and abilities of participants. Themes and activities can be tailored to meet visiting group's needs.
